Make Spray Cheese at Home

Make your own spray cheese at home.

Use this handy recipe to make delicious cans of cheese at home.

You will need:

  • 4 Empty Cans of Spray Cheese (6 oz)
  • 1 Short Straw
  • 1 Clean Nail
  • 1 Hammer
  • 1 Tube Super Glue
  • 1 lb Cheddar Cheese

In a large bowl place 1 lb of cheddar cheese; cubed. Put the bowl in the microwave for 6 minutes or until the cheese completely melts.

While your bowl of cheese is melting, prepare your spray cans by using a clean nail and punching a hole in the bottom of 4 used cans of spray cheese.

There is no need to clean out old cheese as this will just melt and become part of the final dish.

When the cheddar cheese is fully melted pour into the 4 cans. If your hand-eye coordination is poor - you may want to use a small funnel.

When all 4 cans are full take a small straw and blow as much air into the nail hole as possible. Cap the hole with your finger and then seal with super glue.  This will pressurize the can and allow the cheese to spray out of the can.

After your cheese has cooled to room temperature, spray some on your favorite crackers and enjoy.
